Join Mrs. Laura’s website and enjoy the following:

  • The Practice Calendar
  • Messages and Updates from Mrs. Laura and the musical team
  • Requests for volunteer help
  • A place to communicate with other “drama” parents, the musical team, and teachers.
  • Pictures and Videos - See past performances and add your own pictures.

  • Calendar - This will be kept updated.

  • Message Board – Great place to ask your questions or make a comment. You can reply to others as well.

  • Contact List – Add yourself to this list to make it easier to collaborate with other musical families!

MI Parent Night and Ice Cream Social Tuesday, Nov. 3

What makes Eugene Field so special? Find out during our Ice Cream Social and Parent Workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Teachers will be giving 20 minute presentations. Take part in a workshop or two, have some ice cream in the gym and visit with fellow parents.

Activities for school-age students will be available in the gym. Preschool childcare is available in Room K01.

Sign up for the SmART Run today!

Take part in the SmART Run 5K and Family Dash on Saturday, May 2, at Eugene Field. There are two routes: a 5K and a one mile family dash. Those who register for the walk, run, and roll event will not only support A+ teacher training, but also receive a Tshirt and refreshments. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers. Strollers and wagons are welcome.

Spring Carnival Volunteers Needed

The Spring Carnival is set for Friday, March 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. and we need your help!

Preparations have begun! If you are able to volunteer or provide donations, please follow the links below and sign up by Friday, March 4.

A+ smART Bowl raises money for educational enrichment activities

The A+ smART Bowl is a fundraising event to raise money for educational enrichment activities. Each student is given 50 questions and answers tailored to his or her grade level and curriculum. Students are givne four weeks to learn the informaito and on smART Bowl day, Friday, Feb. 27, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. they will be quizzed on the answers by community volunteers.

Students are invited to get pledges from friends and family members. Pledge sheets are due back to school on Friday, Feb. 6. Pledge money is due on Monday, March 9.

We need you!

The PTA is looking for people to be a part of this year's smART Bowl and volunteer to ask questions and verify answers on Friday, Feb. 27, from 8-11 a.m. Sign up using SignUp Genius. Or, contact Kelly at 371-2088 or Heidi at 941-1794.

Shrek Set Construction Begins: Donations Needed

Preparations for the spring musical "Shrek" have begun. Volunteers to help build the set are needed! We also are seeking a variety of construction items, specifically:

  • 2x4s (about 8 to 10 12-footers)
  • plywood (about 6-8 full sheets)
  • screws, hinges and chicken wire
  • Also if anyone is a hunter and has items such as camouflage netting, grasses, or anything that might have a green/brown/yellow, swampy, mossy look to it, we could use it to hang from the tree/sign/house)
  • Black, red or blue fabric for curtain
  • Small pvc pipe or curtain rods that would hang behind the scene

Eugene Field A+ Elementary proudly presents the 4th Annual smART Run 5K and Family Dash on Saturday, May 2, 2015. 

The event is a fundraiser for specialized staff training beyond what the school district provides. 

The event includes a 5K walk/run/roll or a Family Dash (just short of a mile). This is a chip-timed event and includes T-shirts, ribbons for the kids and refreshments for participants. Everyone is welcome, you do not need to attend Eugene Field to take part!
